Already representing an impressive career behind him, Brian Mattingley has been appointed to Chairman for the UK Bingo Association. Having worked with some of the biggest names in online bingo, Mattingley recently acquired a chain of Bingo halls and is hoping for huge success with them. The UK Bingo Association represents all owners and operators of land based bingo halls across the UK who are licenced under the Gaming Act of 1968.
Mattingley’s road will not be easy though. Ahead of him is already tough economic times, but more importantly, battling the upcoming raise in taxes. First the economy, then the smoking ban. These taxes are said to completely ruin the land based Bingo halls revenue.
“Our choice in appointing Mattingley is one we hold high. He holds an excellent reputation and we expect he will continue to serve the Bingo industry as he has in the past, despite some of the road blocks ahead” a spokesman for the UK Bingo Association.
Mattingley was previously the Financial Director for Mecca Bingo and is replacing, Sir Peter Fry, due to retirement. Fry, served the association for nine years.
