Earlier this week it was rumored that Cashcade, one of online bingo’s biggest companies was looking to be bought out by 888 Holdings. Now it seems as though this deal has fallen through due the the high cost of the purchase.
Cashcade is the behind some of online bingo’s most popular websites, such as Foxy Bingo, Think Bingo, and Cheeky Bingo. Although these websites are doing remarkably well, Cashcade is finding itself in more debt than they can handle. Cashcade is asking for 100M pounds for the company and 888.com just can’t seem to get the funds together.
Other rival companies have come forward in stating their interest in purchasing the giant. Party Gaming is eager and believes they could finish the deal as early as the end of July. Cashcade is in need of the quick purchase as they are in a jam to pay off their debts.
It seems that Cashcade also has a standing contract with 888′ Globalcom Network and it is expected they will uphold that contract even though it is not exclusive. 888’s Dragonfish division could see a significant loss in liquidity from loss of business from Cashcade and is still very interested in what the future will reveal.
