What is looking to be the online event of the year, online poker giant, Poker Stars, just released their tentative schedule regarding this years 2009 World Championship of online poker. Online poker players around the world can take part in this event and Poker Stars is looking for some feedback.
Scheduled to start on Sept. 3rd, 2009, players can expect to see 42 tournaments throughout the event. Poker Stars offers online poker across the world. Even in 20 different languages, $42 million dollars in prize money sounds the same.
Just a couple of the different events that will be offered are No Limit Hold’em with a guaranteed $1 Million prize, a HORSE high rollers tournament where the buy-in is $10,300, a $5,200 buy-in No Limit Hold’em Main Event, and a RAZZ tourney offering a prize pool of $200K. One other huge tourney being held during this event, is the Pot-Limit Omaha offering $500K guaranteed in prize money.
These are just a few of the tournaments available to online poker players. With the recent scare connecting eCheck payment processing and Poker Stars, sources report that this will be a distant memory by the time event rolls around.
